These flightless birds share similar characteristics with rheas, kiwis, emus, and cassowaries. They are the largest birds with a wingspan of approximately 2 metres. They are fast-moving and can reach up to 70 kilometres per hour top speed. Though wild, they can be farmed for meat, skin, and feathers. They can b=go for several days without water, have three stomachs and they secrete urine separately from faeces. Their long legs can be a formidable weapon whose kick is capable of killing a human or lion.
